**Procurement Specialist**

Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services.

As a member of our procurement team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide support in analyzing, organizing, negotiating, and managing the purchasing processes and activities in accordance with company and client procedures.
- Issue RFP/RFQ’s specific to project requirements.
- Support package managers and vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals.
- Maintain complete confidentiality related to all bidding activities and results.
- Evaluate bids for commercial aspects and perform clarifications/negotiations where necessary.
- Work closely with project managers and technical staff to ensure procurement deliverables are met.
- Issue purchase orders, change orders, complete contract negotiations and enter information into the project management tracking system.
- Develop and maintain procurement plan/POC Register and expediting report.
- Attend weekly progress meetings with clients, project team and vendors.
- Oversee and support the expediting process of goods/services to maintain critical paths.
- Monitor and track order status, verify scheduled ship dates and vendor information.
- Gather vendor packing slips from site and reconcile overages/shortages, damages, etc. Perform electronic receival of goods.
- Approve vendor invoices by confirming receipt of equipment or completion of service, and in accordance with purchase order/contracts.
- Confirm purchase order close-out upon final invoice submission.
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed, received, properly completed and archived appropriately.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 3+ years procurement experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Post-Secondary certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management would be considered an asset but is not a requirement.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory, production, warehousing, transport, logistics and T&Cs.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and progress payments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- An understanding of project controls systems, project change management, project procurement systems and procedures.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
