About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic EDIA Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to create a more equitable, diverse, inclusive, and accessible work environment.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Lead and collaborate with senior leaders, management, and staff on strategic planning to advance EDIA at NRR, which involves:
    • Assessing the current state of EDIA at NRR and collaboratively framing a desired future state aligned with corporate strategies;
    • Identifying and supporting implementation of new initiatives, ongoing activities, and prioritized measures to build on strengths and address gaps;
    • Developing an evaluation framework, monitoring, and reporting on progress.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with EDIA colleagues across government, community-based groups, and organizations to identify and successfully implement EDIA best practices and approaches to transform the public service, and specifically NRR.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and managers to integrate EDIA into core people and business processes such as recruitment and selection, leadership development, performance management, and workforce planning through the development of new and innovative training, tools, and resources.
  • Ensure EDIA is embedded into resource, policy, and program development to reflect corporate EDIA goals and objectives.
  • Ensure NRR's external engagement, partnerships, and service delivery reflect the department's commitments to EDIA.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social sciences, public administration, or human resources, along with progressive managerial experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale projects, conducting research, policy development, and strategy formulation, and partnering with organizations and community groups to achieve shared objectives.

Pay Grade: EC 11 Salary Range: $73,000 - $94,000 Bi-Weekly
