About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) at the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's EDIA strategy and ensuring that our workplace is inclusive, equitable, and accessible for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EDIA initiatives that promote a culture of inclusion and respect within our organization and across our partner communities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, management, and staff to advance EDIA goals and objectives, including the development of policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with EDIA colleagues, community-based groups, and organizations to identify and implement best practices and approaches to transform the public service.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and managers to integrate EDIA into core people and business processes, including recruitment and selection, leadership development, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure that EDIA is embedded into resource, policy, and program development to reflect corporate EDIA goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record of experience in EDIA issues, innovative thinking, and the ability to introduce and execute new concepts with confidence and judgment. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, along with progressive managerial experience, and demonstrate strong communication, cross-cultural competence, and consultation skills.
