Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Leader to join our team at J.D. Irving, Limited. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate superior customer service skills, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and lead teams to success, providing coaching and development opportunities to help them grow professionally.
  • Process Improvement: Advocate for process improvement across all departments, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Employee Development: Coach and inspire team members to achieve their full potential, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Store Operations: Oversee all aspects of store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Gather and relay information to management regarding sales targets and results, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving sales growth.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to leverage technology to drive business results.
  • Continuous Learning: Openness to continuous improvement and a commitment to independent learning, with a desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
