Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tipton's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including budget and cost estimates.
  • Address Customer Concerns: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.

Our food service department operates in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a physically demanding workload. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring the quality of our food and service.
