About the Role

We are seeking a Production Operations Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Gas Services division, you will be responsible for managing a unionized shop of Assembly Technicians and Component Inspection Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health and safety of your team and promote a quality culture.
  • Dispatch and prioritize daily work to meet customer requirements.
  • Review engine assembly status and resolve build stoppage issues.
  • Manage shop floor employee booking hours and administrative tasks.
  • Identify tooling and equipment requirements and support maintenance.
  • Develop competencies of shop floor personnel and identify training needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintain good relations with the union.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Production Manager, Supervisor, or similar role in a unionized industrial environment.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, together with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of processes and procedures, with a focus on quality.
  • Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver.
