Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled underwriter with expertise in financial lines, including D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, and EPL Liability insurance risks. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evaluating and analyzing risks, determining coverage and pricing, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement underwriting strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze management liability insurance submissions, including D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, and EPL Liability insurance risks.
- Evaluate and analyze historical loss data, risk management practices, financials, and other relevant information to determine appropriate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to provide risk management advice and develop comprehensive insurance programs that meet their needs.
- Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and pricing with brokers and clients, while adhering to underwriting guidelines and profitability targets.
- Underwrite new and renewal book of business.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to effectively assess risk exposures and determine appropriate coverage solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
- 5-7 years of financial lines underwriting experience, preferably in the Canadian market.
- Management liability products underwriting background, including D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, and EPL Liability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations and market trends.
- Ability to travel as required.
- French language is an asset.
