Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and overseeing a team of 5-10 people. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit reports on equipment performance and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to maximize efficiency
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and teamwork
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines and attention to detail. A large caseload and ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
