Maintenance Supervisor

Agilus is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Cambridge, Ontario facility.
- Job Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the installation, repairs, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems at our plant.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an annual maintenance plan to ensure proper completion of scheduling of major plant projects, plant shutdown maintenance program, and quoting of estimated hours of downtime required for repairing breakdowns.
- Ensure procedures are in place to properly expedite lead-time items with suppliers and responsible for inventory control system with maximum and minimum limits for all plant equipment.
- Oversee the implementation of ongoing and preventative maintenance and AMPC/Megamation.
- Schedule and assign daily duties of all employees in the department and review completed work for conformance to standards and to ensure production is on schedule.
- Maintain safe working conditions and practices to ensure the safety of employees. Ensure that all employees know how to perform each job assigned to them in an efficient manner and that they are fully aware of the correct and safe way to operate their equipment.
- Develop employees by ensuring they receive training in the areas of equipment, safety, and any other areas that will help them excel in their assignments.
- Provide clear and specific performance feedback. Develop others and improve employees' performance through coaching, training, and development activities.
- Requirements:
- Industrial Millwright/Mechanic trade certification or Industrial Electrician trade certification with a strong mechanical background.
- Solid background in industrial maintenance involving electrical, mechanical, and e-coat processes would be an asset.
- Experience working with boilers and related equipment would be an asset.
- Familiar with automatic production equipment, robotics, PLC's, assembly welding, and process piping would be an asset.
- Ideal candidate will have three or more years related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate PC (Microsoft) based and other manufacturing-related software.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and experience in administering collective agreements would be an asset.
