General Manager Job Description

Our company is seeking a visionary General Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for implementing our company's vision and mission, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with various departments to achieve our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define and Implement Strategic Objectives: Develop and implement the company's vision, mission, and strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with our business goals.
  2. Lead and Support Departments: Lead and support the estimation, industrial, and Greater Montreal departments, providing guidance and resources to ensure their success.
  3. Make Informed Decisions: Make informed decisions to ensure long-term growth and competitiveness in the market, analyzing financial reports and implementing strategies to improve economic performance.
  4. Develop and Manage Budget: Develop and manage the company's budget, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability.
  5. Analyze Financial Reports: Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve economic performance.
  6. Identify New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to drive growth.
  7. Foster a Collaborative Work Environment: Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations in force in the electrical sector.
  8. Implement Crisis Management: Implement crisis management and business continuity measures to ensure the company's smooth operation.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Management Experience: Have 5 to 10 years of experience in a management role in the field of industrial or institutional electricity.
  3. Excellent Understanding: Have an excellent understanding of the electricity sector and market trends.
  4. Electrical Industry Regulations: Have in-depth knowledge of electrical industry regulations and standards.
  5. Microsoft Office: Have mastery of the Office suite, mainly Outlook and Excel.
  6. MS Project: Have knowledge of MS Project (an asset).
  7. Language Skills: Have good command of written and spoken French, as well as good command of written and spoken English (an asset).
