PCL Construction is a leading innovator in the construction industry, and we're seeking a talented Solar Design Student to join our team. As a Solar Design Student, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to identify key design requirements.
  • Design, review, and validate solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Calculate energy losses for designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and draw detailed site layouts using electrical single-line diagrams and AutoCAD software.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts, including design coordination, constructability review, and project planning.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Proficiency in various computer software programs, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel), is required.
