Business Process Improvement Analyst

Buckland is seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative individual to work closely with our Business Analysts and Product Owners to drive change and improve our business processes.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data integrations and connections between applications to streamline automation and improve efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with Systems Architecture, Software Development, and Business Unit teams to understand and prioritize business needs.
- Provide support for the retirement of paper-based tasks through OCR, document intake, and processing.
- Aid in the solution design or acquisition of platforms to drive accuracy and integrity of data, efficiency of processing information, and reliability of tools.
- Design and scale project features or deliverables for document processing.
- Meet with end-users to understand and document their current steps to deliver a required output/product.
- Work cross-functionally with Software Developers and Product Owners to gather ideas and solutions to streamline and improve current business processes.
- Build long-term enhancement plans, adding features and data elements that drive efficiency in business and systems processes.
- Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks to responsible leaders.
- Author and publish required documentation sets, including business and technical requirements specifications, data or process flow diagrams, testing steps, issues logs, training material, etc.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Business Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent education.
- Has acted in the capacity of a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst or 2-5 years of similar employment experience.
- A background in EDI-related projects – integrations, retirement of aged technology or applications.
- Proven track record of the ability to map, debug, and understand positioning of data elements and their relationships.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development environment and familiarity with core Agile events.
- Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, testers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word) and experience in using SQL, PowerShell, Python, or other software development tools.
