Position Summary


This role is responsible for reviewing and approving vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical competence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building construction and property damage analysis.


Key Responsibilities



  • Review and approve vendor estimates
  • Negotiate costs with vendors and contractors
  • Provide dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews
  • Advise property adjusters on exceptions
  • Coordinate appraisal resources
  • Participate in industry events and special projects

Requirements



  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in building construction or as a senior property adjuster
  • Working knowledge of XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software
  • Familiarity with building code and hazardous material exposure management
  • Post-secondary education and CIP designation or working towards CIP
  • IICRC Fire and Water restoration certification an asset
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis
  • Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic
