## Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Counsel to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation. As a Claims Counsel, you will be responsible for handling a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
## Key Responsibilities
* Handle a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes
* Provide advice to the Claims department on Accident Benefits litigation strategy and file handling
* Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective litigation strategies
* Conduct thorough research and analysis to support claims decisions
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners
## Requirements
* At least 4+ years of litigation experience, especially Accident Benefits litigation
* Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor)
* Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law as a lawyer in Ontario
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
