Insurance Litigation Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Litigation Counsel to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation. As a key member of our Claims department, you will be responsible for handling a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out independent carriage of a full caseload of Accident Benefits litigation, including priority and loss transfer disputes.
- Provide advice to the Claims department on Accident Benefits litigation strategy and file handling.
- Handle interesting and complex files, utilizing your expertise to resolve disputes effectively.
- At least 4+ years of litigation experience, especially Accident Benefits litigation.
- Law Degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor).
- Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law as a lawyer in Ontario.
- High degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility.
- Team player, adaptable to a changing environment.
