Job Summary

Trinity Western University is seeking a highly motivated and caring Student Advisor to support MA LEAD students throughout their academic journey. As a key member of the support network, the Student Advisor will provide high-touch care, guidance, and mentorship to students, ensuring their academic success and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing their academic transition needs, workload, and life balance.
  • Monitor student progress, ensuring they follow their Personal Learning Plan through to graduation.
  • Liaise with related offices, including the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and TWU GLOBAL.
  • Facilitate small group discussions on topics such as study strategies, self-management, and cultural expectations.
  • Participate in Orientation activities and assist new students in adjusting to their new environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in education or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
  • Experience working with international students and understanding cultural diversity is preferred.
