Langley, Canada Bison Transport Full time

The goal of Bison’s Student Placements is to provide students with valuable work and life experience. Students are hired to work full time for the duration of their chosen placement term. We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused **post-secondary student** to join our team This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn about our Operations team, our Company and the transportation Industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately distributing, receiving and updating information,
- Dispatch: Transmitting and receiving of all information relevant to the driver/cartage company performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements.
- Satellite and Telephone Management: Handling of all driver related satellite messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues.
- Reporting: This involves the recognition, communication and documentation of situations that should be reviewed by other parties, for information, action and record keeping purposes.
- Problem Resolution: Working on behalf of both the Driver and the Company to resolve any day to day issues that may arise.
- Exposure to other various aspects of our City Operations team.
- Post-secondary student in a Commerce, Management or Business Administration degree, your record should reflect balanced achievement in academics and practical experience
- Exceptional customer service skills; embraces the concept of both the internal and external customer
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player

- Ability to quickly establish working relationships and effectively transition through assignments
- Ability to thrive in a multi-task, deadline orientated, high volume and fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn complex programs
- Desire to pursue continuous learning activities is also considered a strong asset
- Previous Supply Chain work experience considered an asset
