Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Brightshores. As a member of our Float Pool, you will be assigned to work in various departments, providing care to patients with stable and predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, promoting health and assessing, treating, and managing health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct physical assessments, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements.
  • Adhere to Brightshores' 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies, promoting a culture of patient safety and respect.

Requirements

  • RPN Certificate of Competence with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Ability to work at full scope of practice.
  • Physical Assessment Course or equivalent.
  • Competency in aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, administration of medications, IV therapy, POCT.
  • Excellent organizational, patient assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records.
