Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Content Developer to join our team on a full-time contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and education, with the ability to create high-quality teaching and learning content for our digital and print environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Publisher to develop math teaching and learning materials that align with our mission and pedagogy. This role requires the ability to express complex ideas in simple language, consider learning from multiple perspectives, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, adapt, and digitize lesson plans and supporting teacher content in accordance with project plans and relevant curricula.
  • Create student content in accordance with project and lesson plans, relevant curricula, and JUMP Math methodology.
  • Meet periodically with project lead Curriculum Writer, Founder, or other Curriculum Writers for consultation or guidance.
  • Consult existing resources in adapting and digitizing content.
  • Coordinate unit content with other units within and across grades.
  • Respond to comments from reviewers, editors, and graphic designers to modify unit content.
Requirements
  • Able to express ideas clearly in simple language.
  • Ability to consider learning from the perspective of the weakest and strongest students.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solver.
  • Adaptable/flexible.
  • Bachelor's degree in education and/or mathematics-related field.
  • Experience using JUMP Math materials or the JUMP Math approach an asset.
  • Expository writing experience an asset.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) as a 6-month contract role with an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The role must be located in the Greater Toronto area and is intended to be mainly remote but may require attendance at in-person meetings at the JUMP Math offices or other locations in the GTA.
