About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Trusser Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Carpentry and Joinery: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior carpentry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
  • Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that construction projects are completed to the required specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Certifications: Carpenter Trade Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
