About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Paradise Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Material Selection and Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, schedule and coordinate work on sites, and estimate costs and materials to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Quality Control: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and instruct apprentices, and lead a team of workers to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry, with a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, reliability, and team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
