We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Greater West Nipissing area. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional nursing care in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
  • Ensure timely and safe resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of medication and narcotics.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
  • Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
  • Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
