This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Traffic Signals Specialist to join our team in Calgary, Edmonton, or Red Deer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Building strong relationships with clients through effective communication, proposal preparation, and project budgeting.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to design and specify electrical, lighting, and traffic signal systems projects.
  • Leveraging your expertise to lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination, and management of electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Developing power distribution, lighting, and auxiliary systems designs using AutoCAD, AGi32 light software, and/or MicroStation.
  • Preparing technical reports, tender documentation, and field support, including commissioning/site inspection.
  • E nsuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and corporate procedures.
  • Reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in traffic engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in traffic signal design and operations.
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
  • Proven experience in electrical design for municipal roadway lighting and traffic signal systems.
  • A strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGi32 lighting design software.

  • A salary range of $95,000 - $125,000 per annum, depending on experience.
