Job Title: Traffic Signals Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signals Engineer to join our team at Primary Engineering and Construction Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical, lighting, and traffic signal systems projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead and contribute to the design, production, coordination, and management of electrical, lighting, and traffic signal systems projects.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documentation, and field support, including commissioning and site inspection.
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables comply with applicable regulations, standards, and corporate procedures.
  • Direct and mentor junior staff as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in traffic engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic signal design and operations.
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code.
  • Proficiency with engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGi32 lighting design software.
