Health and Wellness Manager

About the Role:
Shannex Incorporated is seeking a Health and Wellness Manager to lead our Health, Wellness and Safety Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing and claims management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, assesses, monitors and adjusts the Working to Well program to reduce claim volumes and promote employee wellness
- Identifies and analyzes reports and statistics to effectively manage claims
- Maintains relationships with external partners, including WCBs and health providers
- Provides oversight of claim adjudication and workplace accommodations
- Continuously tracks and analyzes trends related to injuries and illnesses
- Organizes and facilitates training and communications to promote wellness and vaccinations
