About the Role

This Permanent Part-Time (50%) position offers an opportunity to work with adults and their families in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. As a Psychotherapist, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, consultation and treatment for patients with somatic symptom disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral degree from a recognized Clinical Psychology program, be registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP) and possess minimum two years related clinical experience.

You will also have advanced psychotherapy skills, training in ISTDP, competency in psychological testing and demonstrated experience conducting individual and group therapy, including brief therapy.

Additional requirements include knowledge of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, ability to reach a joint formulation with clients and family, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $59.60 - $62.74 hourly (Psychologist PhD steps 4-5). Successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance.
