About the Opportunity

The Advanced Care Paramedic is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations. Reporting to the Health Services Manager, this role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paramedicine, with a focus on advanced care and patient assessment. They will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing competencies through ongoing professional development, including education programs, research, and continuous quality activities.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team. The successful candidate will have:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $31.52 - $36.57.
