Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our software-as-a-service platform. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the backend of our system, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the backend architecture of our system, including data models, access, high-availability, fault-tolerance, scalability, and security.
  • Work closely with product management, data science, QA, and Support teams to build and support the product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code, following industry best practices and standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that code meets the required standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and provide support to internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Golang, Java, Scala, or equivalent.
  • Experience with databases (Relation and/or NoSQL) and query considerations with large amounts of data.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with building Data Engineering for Machine Learning is considered an asset.
  • Experience building software in microservices architecture in a Container environment is considered an asset.
