The Role

We are seeking highly skilled and driven Mid to Senior Backend Engineers to join our fast-paced engineering team and contribute to the growth of our ASPM platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services using Python, Kafka, and various databases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the evolution of our backend architecture
  • Architect, design, and develop services and features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship in a quick-moving, iterative environment
  • Contribute to improving product effectiveness and quality, team velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and best practices
  • Provide mentorship for junior engineers to help them grow in their technical responsibilities
  • Assist with troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality, event-driven backends
  • Expertise in building cloud-based backend services with a microservice architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality backend Python code and design patterns
  • 5+ years of experience building backend code with Python
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, with bonus points for hands-on experience with Graph DB
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
