Lead Compensation Strategist

At Bank of Montreal, we're seeking a seasoned Lead Compensation Strategist to join our team. With a strong background in compensation and benefits, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's overall compensation strategy.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will have you working closely with senior leaders to develop and implement compensation programs that drive business results and support employee engagement. You'll be responsible for providing expert advice on compensation matters, including program design, governance, and regulatory compliance.
As a Lead Compensation Strategist, you'll lead cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights that inform business decisions. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively will be essential in this role, as you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with BMO's overall business objectives
- Provide expert advice on compensation matters, including program design, governance, and regulatory compliance
- Analyze data and identify trends to inform business decisions
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to stakeholders across the organization
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically
- A post-secondary degree in a related field, such as human resources or business administration

- A highly competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience
