Position Summary
The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina is seeking a dynamic academic leader to fill a three-year term position in its growing Human Kinetics program with a focus on biomechanics. The successful applicant will teach six courses per year in our undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as engage in research through the supervision of graduate and undergraduate honours students.
We are seeking a scholar who can contribute to the achievement of our Strategic Priorities: (a) Student Success, (b) Quality Programs, Academics & Research, and Community Connections.
Position Requirements
Our future colleague will have earned a PhD in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or a related discipline, with a concentration in biomechanics and demonstrated a passion and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses associated with the Human Kinetics major.
Your training, background, and research in biomechanics will enable you to teach courses primarily in biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, and ergonomics. The ability to teach in the areas of motor learning, human growth and development, and anatomy is considered an asset.
In addition, you will have the ability to supervise research-focused students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Professional certifications and applied experiences in the field would be a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities
