Luther College is seeking a visionary President to lead its academic community through a period of growth and transformation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, with a PhD preferred, and a proven track record of leadership in higher education. They will be responsible for fostering a culture of academic excellence, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and for ensuring that the College's programs and operations are aligned with its mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the College's academic programs and operations
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and transformation
  • Build strong relationships with alumni, donors, government, external partners, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada
  • Ensure academic programs respond to current educational needs and align with the College's mission

The President will be a collaborative leader who is committed to building a strong and inclusive community. They will be responsible for making key decisions that will shape the future of the College, and for ensuring that the College remains a thriving academic community that develops compassionate, critical thinkers prepared to make a difference in the world.

Requirements:
  • PhD preferred
  • Proven experience in leadership in higher education
  • Strong academic background and research experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
