Job Summary

Job Description

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior SDET to join its Quality Engineering team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking functional and automation tests for WMTS Canada.

What We Offer

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support on testing estimation and act as a release lead
  • Support overall quality engineering strategy
  • Accountable for providing subject matter expertise and leadership on test case architecture and design
  • Support leadership in the execution of operational frameworks, processes, and tools
  • Provide recommendations and contribute to solutions in areas of expertise
  • Support the implementation of QE program and overall QE process and standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in QE/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing
  • Expert in script development using languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, and SQL DB querying
  • Strong trading domain knowledge and hands-on experience in testing the trade lifecycle, order flows for assets such as stocks, options, mutual funds, forex, and fixed income
  • Strong testing concepts including planning, test estimation, strategy, and test case design
  • Expert knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, source code management using GIT, SVN, E11, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills
