About the Role

Extendicare Canada Inc. is a leading provider of quality care services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Scarborough, Ontario.

Job Summary: As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the planning, development, and evaluation of orientation, training, and educational programs for our long-term care facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training packages, including orientation, handbooks, and procedures for staff education;
  • Ensure quality resident and client care through ongoing training and education of department employees;
  • Manage the home's written educational material for staff, residents, and clients;
  • Create comprehensive reports and summaries;
  • Participate in the home's Continuous Quality Improvement team and assist with quality protocols and program evaluations;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • Extensive experience in staff education, quality improvement, and risk management;
  • Proven ability to analyze data, implement quality improvement, solve problems, and resolve conflicts;
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, lead, train, and manage staff;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
What We Offer:
