In this role, you will be responsible for executing cyber security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities for our nuclear sector clients, which include:

  1. Conducting gap analyses;
  2. Performing risk assessments and management;
  3. Establishing standards and procedures;
  4. Creating training materials for cyber security;
  5. Leading organizational training sessions as a subject matter expert (SME);
  6. Preparing and reviewing technical documentation such as assessments and reports;
  7. Evaluating product or system-specific engineering documentation, including manufacturing manuals and network diagrams, to conduct risk and control assessments;
  8. Executing factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) as necessary, diagnosing issues, and effectively communicating solutions;
  9. Completing client-specific engineering change control (ECC) training to gain the qualifications required for station-specific deliverables;
  10. Working independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment as needed.
Are You the Right Fit?

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  1. A minimum of 6 years of experience in the cyber security field, preferably within an operational technology (OT) environment, instrumentation and control (I&C), or nuclear sectors;
  2. A post-secondary degree in computer science, engineering, information security, or a related discipline;
  3. Experience in preparing client deliverables in the form of technical documentation;
  4. A working knowledge of:
    1. Network architecture and fundamental networking concepts, including communication protocols and network topology;
    2. Password management principles;
    3. NIST Cyber Security Framework, NERC CIP, or CSA N290.7 Standard;
    4. The Purdue model.
  5. Comfort in client-facing situations;
  6. Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
  7. Preferred assets include:
  8. Experience with OPG or Bruce Power ECC;
  9. CSIS Level 2 security clearance (preferably at OPG or Bruce Power);
  10. Familiarity with:
    1. Firewall and network switch configurations;
    2. ICS communication protocols, ICS security components, and physical and logical hardening controls.
