Job Title: Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Community Support Specialist to join our team at STRIVE Support Services.

Job Summary:

The Community Support Specialist will provide support and services to individuals in need, promoting independence and well-being. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized rehabilitation programs;
  • Plan and implement substance abuse treatment programs;
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses;
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients;
  • Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social outings;
  • Develop and coordinate the delivery of specific services within the community;
  • Implement behaviour management programs;
  • Conduct follow-up assessments and evaluations to ensure program effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field;
  • Certifications such as Mandt System training, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate;
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
