In this role, you will be part of the Environmental team, based in our Burnaby office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Independently managing environmental investigation projects (Phase I, II ESA's/Stage 1, 2 PSIs II, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation);
  • Project planning, implementation, coordinating fieldwork (in town and out of town);
  • Review of project budgets, expenses to ensure good project performance;
  • Preparation and review of reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy for instruments (COC, AiP, Determination);
  • Proposal preparation for clients, demonstrated skills and abilities to develop positive business relationships with clients;
  • Management of provincial and/or federal contaminated sites assessments, site remediation, some risk assessments (human or ecological);
  • Supervision of junior and intermediate professionals.
  • Experience with hazardous material surveys/mitigation projects is considered an asset.

What your experience looks like

  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental consulting experience in BC. Candidates with additional experience will be considered.
  • University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geoscience;
  • Professional status or designation;
  • Team player;
  • Demonstrated experience in Project management on a variety of small, medium, and large projects;
  • The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers;
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, fast-paced environment;
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle;
  • Strong written and communication skills;
  • Business development skills.

The salary range for this role is between $104,000 to $138,000. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
