About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Professional to join our team at Best Western Plus St John's Airport Hotel & Suites.

Job Description

This is a temporary opportunity, working 35-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities. Key duties include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors;
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures;
  • Vacuuming carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture;
  • Making beds and changing sheets;
  • Distributing clean towels and toiletries;
  • Stocking linen closets;
  • Disinfecting operating rooms and other areas;
  • Handling and reporting lost and found items;
  • Attending to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items;
  • Providing basic information on facilities;
  • Laundering clothing and household linens;
  • Mending clothing and linens;
  • Cleaning changing rooms and showers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary school graduation certificate;
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in housekeeping or equivalent experience;
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • The ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Salary and Benefits
