We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Professional to join our team at Best Western Plus St John's Airport Hotel & Suites.
Job DescriptionThis is a temporary opportunity, working 35-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities. Key duties include:
- Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors;
- Dusting furniture and fixtures;
- Vacuuming carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture;
- Making beds and changing sheets;
- Distributing clean towels and toiletries;
- Stocking linen closets;
- Disinfecting operating rooms and other areas;
- Handling and reporting lost and found items;
- Attending to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items;
- Providing basic information on facilities;
- Laundering clothing and household linens;
- Mending clothing and linens;
- Cleaning changing rooms and showers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary school graduation certificate;
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in housekeeping or equivalent experience;
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- The ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
This position offers a competitive salary of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience, as well as access to comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
