Niagara Children's Centre is a leading provider of rehabilitation and support services to children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities. Our centre offers a range of services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language services, augmentative and alternative communication, family services, and therapeutic recreation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a temporary contract basis. The successful candidate will work with children and youth to assess, identify, and treat communication difficulties, enhancing their quality of life and participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify communication difficulties in children and youth
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to achieve goals
  • Work with children, youth, families, and other care providers to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care
  • Deliver services in a variety of settings, including the home, community, and school
  • Collaborate with community partnering agencies to provide outreach services
Requirements
  • Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Sound understanding of speech language therapy among children and youth
  • Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans
  • Effective communication and education skills
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
