We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Niagara Children's Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in assessing, identifying, and treating communication difficulties in children.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose communication disorders in children, including language, speech, fluency, voice, and hearing difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication needs and goals
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Provide education and support to families and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
- Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Sound understanding of speech language therapy among children and youth
- Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families, and other care providers
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
