Responsibilities:

* Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased
* Develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased
* Determine contract terms and conditions
* Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
* Negotiate rates and terms
* Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
* Manage contracts
* Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards
* Establish and maintain contact with suppliers
* Establish and implement policies and procedures
* Conduct performance reviews
* Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports
* Monitor and inspect quality of material produced

Requirements:

* 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and contracts
* Membership in the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada
* Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Word
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
