About the Role:

The Manager Buying, Timepieces & Jewelry Brands will be responsible for leading purchasing activities for Third Party Brands within the business, overseeing the Senior Buyer and ensuring strong performance aligns with organizational goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and in-depth product knowledge of various brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage store assortment and allocation, maintaining a consistent and relevant value proposition to the customer.
  • Analyze product mix to identify opportunities and gaps within the store assortment.
  • Participate in line reviews and stock balancing exercises.
  • Maintain a consistent dialogue with the Retail team to understand the market, identify customer and store needs.
  • Procure products, analyzing in-stock position and product assortment by store, and identify replenishment needs based on sales and inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the Planner to create and update product procurement schedules.
  • Responsible for vendor relations, compliance, vendor billing reconciliation, and return to vendors.
  • Collaborate with Brand management, Retail, Wholesale, and E-Commerce teams to provide insightful analysis driving merchandising strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, fashion, or any other relevant degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a buying leadership role (preferably within a retailer).
  • Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Luxury brand and market awareness.
  • Knowledge of market trends and purchasing best practices.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Results-driven, flexible, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated positive relationships with internal/external customers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Computer literate – Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Bilingual: French and English (spoken/written).
