We are seeking a skilled Primavera P6 Scheduler to join our team at Northern Employment Solutions Inc. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advanced level user knowledge of the software and experience in scheduling mining-related construction projects.

Based on the job requirements, we estimate the salary for this position to be between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will work on-site with 4 days (12-hour shifts) at a remote campsite, with flights and accommodations provided. This is a large project that requires collaboration and team meetings, so the candidate must be available to work on-site for the first 3 months, with the opportunity to work from home 1 week/month once the project is underway.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare schedule WBS in line with project scope and delivery guidelines
  • Implement project scheduling processes and identify improvement actions
  • Incorporate budgeted hours into project planning and contractor/vendor/supplier schedules
  • Review critical path, perform schedule leveling, and quality checks
  • Develop templates for contractors during the tendering process
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant scheduling documents and identify priorities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to enforce CLIENT standard tools and practices
  • Review, track, and incorporate project cost status and changes into the project budget and forecast
  • Execute project close-out formalities as per CLIENT procedure and guidelines

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in engineering, construction, technology, or project management certification, with a minimum of 5 years of P6 Primavera scheduling experience. They should be an intermediate/advanced user of P6 Scheduling software and have experience scheduling mining construction and development work schedules. Legally able to work in Canada, the candidate will not require visa sponsorship.

This is a contract term of 6 months with high likelihood of renewal as the project is multi-year in need. We look forward to receiving applications from qualified candidates.
