About the Position:

This role will be based at our Princeton facility, where you will report to the Plant Manager. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining consumables and inventory records for equipment and supplies, as well as performing timely repairs and preventative maintenance on various equipment and machinery located in and around the Plant, Property, and Offices.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Procuring and sourcing parts, and obtaining quotes for machinery, equipment, and buildings as needed.
  • Establishing and maintaining good rapport with vendors, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Responding to maintenance service requests in a timely manner as assigned by the Team Leader, Department Head, and/or Plant Manager.
  • Inspecting equipment and machinery for deficiencies and investigating any irregularities.
  • Performing maintenance on steel cutting machines, grinders, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment.
  • Performing scheduled inspections on all relevant equipment, including cranes, lifting devices, and machinery.
  • Performing basic maintenance such as installing building signage and repairing fences.
  • Performing preventative maintenance routines according to schedule on equipment as directed by the Team Leader, Department Head, and/or Plant Manager to ensure equipment is in proper working order.

Position Requirements:
  • Completion of High School or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/manufacturing in an industrial setting.
  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Knowledge of crane, machine control centers, HVAC, and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic operating systems.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot repairs.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
  • A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
  • Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
  • Communication Skills – Both Written and Oral.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
