Community Outreach Coordinator

At Canada Post Corp, we're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant in L'anse Au Loup. As an integral part of our retail network, you will provide exceptional counter services to our customers while working on-call shifts.
The ideal candidate should reside in the community or be willing to relocate within a 50 km radius of the post office. This role requires flexibility to adapt to temporary, on-call work schedules and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our customers.

Selling postal products and services to the business community and public
- This involves providing expert advice on postal products and services, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell, and ensuring seamless transactions.
Sorting, distributing, and processing mail into appropriate classifications
- This critical function ensures that mail reaches its intended destinations efficiently and effectively.
Providing customers with information and forms
- Our Post Office Assistants are trained to handle various inquiries, from mailing options to package delivery times, and provide accurate information to our customers.
Addressing delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
- This includes troubleshooting issues related to lost or damaged packages, resolving customer complaints, and escalating complex issues to senior management when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or provincial equivalency, combined with experience in business administration, sales, or customer service.
- Familiarity with general accounting systems, including financial reporting and record-keeping.
- Physical ability to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy retail environment.
