At Scotiabank, we are seeking a seasoned Marketing Director to drive business growth and success. This exciting role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that capture competitive opportunities in Corporate and Investment Banking, as well as The Scotiabank Women Initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement strategic marketing plans to capitalize on business opportunities, working closely with GBM teams, product management, and alliance partners.
  • Manage marketing needs, including vendor relationships, brand standards, and timely deliverables.
  • Act as a marketing consultant, representing GBM interests in cross-functional activities and providing ad-hoc support to capitalize on competitive opportunities.
  • Sustain adherence to the Global Banking and Markets brand positioning, maintaining brand standards, and promoting key messages consistent with Scotiabank's visual identity.

As a Marketing Director, you will work collaboratively with the GBM Marketing team and Global Marketing units to develop and execute integrated marketing programs focused on shared business segments.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Marketing or related field, with 7+ years' experience in marketing management.
  • Broad knowledge of financial markets and capital markets.
  • Expertise in marketing communications, ability to provide credible advice to senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiating skills, ability to build strong relationships with executives.
  • Coordination, strategic influencing, and people management skills.

The successful candidate will have a significant understanding of customer segments, products/services, and value propositions. We encourage applications from candidates with maturity and credibility in dealing with executives.
