Job Description

The Production Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of production staff by leading by example, being organized, priority-driven, and planning ahead.
  • Developing production processes to optimize scalability and ease of doing business with internal and external partners.
  • Managing production capacity, build planning, and material requirements to support customer orders.
  • Triage of issues and engaging necessary resources to resolve blockers.
  • Participating in the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure costs and impacts are clearly evaluated and considered.
  • Monitoring and reporting current inventory levels of Work-In-Progress (WIP) & Finished Goods.
  • Establishing reorder trigger levels for each part in collaboration with the Supply Chain department.
  • Supporting organizational decision-making by maintaining Production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributing to the development of other departments' processes and ensuring production dependencies are considered.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory data through reconciliation of inventory transactions.
  • Maintaining all materials-related records required to support the ISO13485 Quality Management System.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • College Diploma and/or University Degree with a focus on production, manufacturing, operations, and/or logistics.
  • 3-5 years of people management experience.
  • Production or inventory planning experience.
  • Experience implementing process improvements in a regulated quality system.
  • Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset.
