Job Title: Associate Vice-President Agriculture

As an Associate Vice-President of the Agriculture Unit at National Bank, you will play a key role in implementing the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 strategy. You will lead a team of specialists who provide tailored advice, support, and financial services to agricultural producers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Create a motivating work environment that fosters collaboration and innovation among your team members.
  • Sales Force Development: Develop a skilled and proactive sales team to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities in your market, expand your commercial client base, and develop strategies aligned with the Bank's objectives.
  • Financial Performance: Oversee a sustainable and profitable growth plan, meeting financial targets while managing risks.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks inherent in the agricultural sector.
  • Knowledge Development: Enhance your knowledge and that of your team in integrated consulting services, Commercial and Private Banking 1859.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and propose ways to optimize work practices, improving process and system efficiency.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about economic trends affecting the Commercial Banking sector and ensure that products and services meet evolving client needs.
  • External Relations: Promote the Bank's products and services with external partners, such as accountants, lawyers, and mortgage brokers.
Your Team:

You will lead a team of 16 employees, including Account Managers and Account Representatives, reporting to the Vice President Agriculture. Our training programs focus on on-the-job learning, and you will have access to personalized training content and colleagues with diverse expertise.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience working with Commercial Banking clients, particularly in the agricultural sector
  • Knowledge of the agricultural sector or field
  • Solid background in personnel management
  • Experience in complex financing structures and risk analysis
  • Experience in sales coaching
  • Negotiation experience
  • Ability to leverage sales management tools
