About the Role

Chef MI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced cook to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
