We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Administrative Officer to join our team and help shape the future of our community. As a key member of our municipal administration, you will play a crucial role in driving growth, development, and prosperity for our town.

Job Description:

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the municipal administration, ensuring effective implementation of Council's vision and policies.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the town's annual financial plan, monitor budgets, and ensure sound financial management practices.
  • Human Resource Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of employees, as well as conduct union negotiations with Council.
  • Program Development: Implement programs and services that promote economic development, community engagement, and social welfare.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience at the management level, preferably in municipal administration.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, ASYST bookkeeping software, and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and mobilize people to achieve a shared vision and implement strategies.
